Public Q&A

How can I tell whether a speed problem is the network, the antenna or the router itself?

Firmware Diagnostics and Troubleshooting · 2026-08-02

Treat it as a process of elimination. Compare performance at different times, look at signal-quality figures rather than only signal strength, check whether the problem improves with a different antenna position or carrier, and review whether the router’s own hardware and configuration suit the load. A single speed test number never tells the full story.

Comset can assist by breaking the problem into layers: carrier environment, antenna system, router capability and application demand. Once those are separated, the culprit is usually far less mysterious.
